Telehealth is a video appointment that is HIPAA compliant. It allows for a “face to face,” personalized visit with your provider. Dr. Coates is trained to provide these types of services. A new patient history can be obtained through this service to better understand the patient’s needs prior to even stepping through the doors. It is a great tool for educating and counseling patients on test results as well as assessing and determining a hearing loss treatment route. It is also a way to share video tutorials for hearing aid care at home as well as communication strategies for caregivers, spouses and family members. There are many opportunities and it is a great time for the field of audiology with access to this technology.
