Family Owned
Coates Hearing Clinic is a family-owned, independent audiologic clinic owned by local Smithfield residents Dr. Kathleen Coates and her husband, Jordan.
Their mission is to provide comprehensive, high-quality, patient-centered hearing healthcare in their community and surrounding areas.

From the moment you walk in the door, our focus is on you. We take a patient-centered approach to hearing healthcare, and highly encourage all patients to bring a “second set of ears” to your appointments, such as a spouse, significant other, family member, or friend. It is a comfortable and welcoming space, equipped with state-of-the-art equipment providing patients with the highest level of care available today.
As a new patient and depending on your history and current symptoms, we schedule your first visit for 45-90 minutes to allow for comprehensive testing, patient education, and treatment consultation.
Our audiologists’ knowledge and experience, along with the time they spend with patients getting to know them and understanding their hearing healthcare needs results in excellent patient care.
Hearing Devices
One hearing aid does not fit all, which is why we are an independent provider. We offer an extensive selection of the latest hearing technology. We also offer payment plans and will work with you to make sure that if you need hearing aids, you are able to get them.

We value individualized hearing healthcare and our community. We take every chance to be involved and educate this great community on good hearing healthcare.
